Teen/Adult Class: Ages 16+
Level: 201 (See requirements below before registering)
November Session: 5 Weeks (Starting November 9th, there will not be classes the week starting November 23rd)
Cost/Session: $195 Payment plans are available through the office.
Days Available: Wednesday 5:30-6:30pm
Update: Due to the impacts social distancing has on spotting and the length of time we’ve all been out of the air, classes this session will look a little different. Classes will be focused on getting back on an apparatus and conditioning. If the class you want is full, don’t worry! Because our class sizes are so much smaller, we are aware fewer students will be able to enroll and are committed to adding as many additional class times as needed. You can either sign up for the waitlist, or email the office at info@showcircusstudio.com and we will be reaching out to groups about adding additional class times throughout the week.
Requirements: Students must have completed at least 1 previous Aerial Skills 101 class AND been recommended for Trapeze 201 or have previous experience. Please contact the studio with any questions before registering.
Requirements: An unsupported, unspotted handstand of any length, a roundoff, comfort BOTH basing and flying at least three partner acrobatics skills, one good form push-up OR instructor permission.
Description:
This next level acrobatics class is for those with some prior tumbling or acrobatic experience (such as Acrobatics 101 or Tumbling 101). We will work on more challenging tumbling skills such as walkovers, handsprings, and aerials, and more advanced partner acrobatics skills such as standing on shoulders (two-highs) and low hand-to-hand (handstands on another person's hands). We will utilize mat shapes, sprung floor, and tumble track to practice more dynamic sequences.
For people looking to learn something new and exciting, circus is a non-competitive, artistic, fun and safe discipline. All classes at SHOW focus on vocabulary retention, interpersonal life skills, and having fun in a safe environment. Circus is a great way to increase self-esteem, have fun, get in shape, improve focus and learn skills that will translate to every aspect of your life. Circus for Fun, Circus for Life.
