Duo Trapeze
Teen/Adult Class: Ages 16+
Level: 301 (See Requirements Below)
Fall Session: 12 weeks September 9th - December 15th (with no classes October 14th - October 20th and November 25th -December 1st
Cost/Session: $495 Payment plans are available through the office.
Days Available: Wednesday 7:30-9:00pm
Requirements: Previous static trapeze knowledge required. Trapeze 301+ experience preferred.
Description:
If you feel comfortable on the trapeze and want to explore a new area of skills, come learn the basics of duo trapeze! This class includes basic weight shares, static poses and how to move on the bar with a partner. More difficult material and special challenges will be present for students who have already taken Duo Trapeze at SHOW. Students will focus on good form, strength, and control while learning basic sequences and how to keep you and your partner safe in the air. All students will get to work with everyone in the class so don't worry if you don't have a current duo trapeze partner. There will be introductory work on transitions between positions. For people looking to learn something new and exciting, circus is a non-competitive, artistic, fun and safe discipline. All classes at SHOW focus on vocabulary retention, interpersonal life skills, and having fun in a safe environment. Circus is a great way to increase self-esteem, have fun, get in shape, improve focus and learn skills that will translate to every aspect of your life. Circus for Fun, Circus for Life.
Any cancellation made by the student before the first day of class will be given a 100% refund. Any cancellations made by the student after the first class of the session has run is not eligible for a refund (special exceptions may be made for medical situations). If a single class is canceled by the studio (due to weather, staff availability, etc.), the cost of that class will be credited to your P13 account based on the single per class rate. Adult students who miss 1-2 classes during the session may attend 1-2 Open Studios free of charge, per session, to make up for the missed classes, as space allows. Students making up missed classes using Open Studios must register through the office.
Please note—if you miss a class due to COVID-related reasons, the cost of that class will be credited to your P13 account based on the single per class rate. As a result absences due to COVID will not be eligible for free Open Studio make-ups, but you may use your account credit to pay for Open Studios.
In the event that only one student is present for any given class, the class will automatically be changed to 1 hour in duration.
