Description:
Our Circus Navigators class focuses on acquiring and developing skills for circus and life! Circus Navigators aims to prepare kids for the beginning of our skills and progression focused youth programs starting with Adventures in Circus (ages 4-6) and Youth 101 (ages 7-12). Students will work toward developing self-regulation skills including taking turns, and following directions, to promote success in and out of class. Navigators bridges the open play of Circus Explorers with the skill building of Adventures in Circus.
Each class will work to build focus, communication and problem-solving skills through learning circus skills, and playing games/open play with circus equipment. Students will be challenged as they work on beginning circus vocabulary, obstacle courses and play that encourages creative expression, developing self-control and cooperation.
Each class includes an obstacle course warm up, ground skills, aerial skills, games, and circle time. We focus each class on various circus activities that meet the needs of the class and change from week to week; these activities can include: aerial fabric, trapeze, tightwire, tumbling, juggling, balancing objects and mini trampoline.
For children looking to learn something new and exciting, the circus is a non-competitive, artistic, fun and safe discipline! All classes at SHOW focus on vocabulary retention, interpersonal life skills, and having fun in a safe environment. Circus is a great way to increase self-esteem, have fun, get in shape, improve focus and learn skills that will translate into every aspect of your child’s life. Circus for Fun, Circus for Life.
