Requirements: Any student currently enrolled in SHOW Circus Studio classes, ages 13-18, who wish to assist SHOW programs, including camps, classes, and more. Beginning series teacher training for youth.

SHOW Circus Studio is proud to offer their circus assistant training workshop for youth students interested in helping with camps, workshops, and session classes. This workshop is now the requirement for any student interested in assisting these events at SHOW Circus Studio. Workshops will be offered multiple times per year and it is strongly recommended that serious students attend as many as possible to learn teaching skills, refresh current knowledge and practice spotting techniques. Students who successfully complete one of these workshops will be eligible for an assistant position at SHOW. We require that students take at least one of these workshops every 6 months to stay up to date and ready for assistant opportunities. By giving students practical experience and the tools to be successful, we hope to create well-rounded circus students, performers, and teachers for the future.

This three-hour workshop will include many of the essential tools that youth students will need to successfully assist circus programs at SHOW Circus Studio. The workshop will be broken into three sections: How We Teach at SHOW, Skill Progressions and Spotting Techniques, and Teaching/Spotting Practical. Some of the topics that this workshop will cover include:

Practical Spotting Exercises with Real Students on Equipment

Cancellation policy A workshop that does not meet minimum enrollment may be canceled, at the discretion of the studio. Students will be informed at least 48 hours in advance if any changes must be made. Any cancellations made by the student at least 48 hours in advance will be given a 100% refund minus the $5 non-refundable registration deposit. Any registrations cancelled within 48 hours of the workshop are not eligible for a refund. Special exceptions may be made for medical situations. All workshops cancelled by the studio will be credited to your Front Desk account. Please contact the studio with any questions.
