Teen/Adult Class: Ages 16+
Level: 301+ (See Requirements Below)
Drop-In: $27/class
Days Available: Wednesday 7:30-8:30 pm
Prerequisites: Are currently attending or have recently (past 2 sessions) attended a Level 301 aerial or acrobatics class; already have or are working towards having one or more pull-ups on a bar; are comfortable in a knee hang on a trapeze bar. Ability to climb a fabric or rope useful but not required. If you're not sure if you would be eligible for the class, don't hesitate to ask Margaret by emailing her at margaret@showcircusstudio.com
Description:
Are you ready to take your circus fitness to the next level? Do you have a trick you really want to get but you're not quite strong enough, or a routine you don't quite have the endurance to complete? This is your class. This strength and conditioning class is geared toward intermediate and higher level adult students who are ready to push themselves a bit harder to achieve their fitness goals. We will combine high-intensity interval training with apparatus-based conditioning as well as strength and mobility work with foam rollers, therabands, weights, and more. At the beginning of the session we will discuss your particular fitness goals, and every week Margaret will assign you training homework to help you achieve those goals. You will be encouraged (but not required) to track your training in a journal. Check-ins at the beginning and end of the session will let you see how much you've accomplished. Let's up our circus game together!
All classes at SHOW focus on vocabulary retention, interpersonal life skills, and having fun in a safe environment. Circus is a great way to increase self-esteem, have fun, get in shape, improve focus and learn skills that will translate to every aspect of your life. Circus for Fun, Circus for Life.
