Safety. That's the first and most important element of our collaboration. While AcroLab is a perfect place to come play, we would like to emphasize that it is a controlled, supervised and safe environment.

AcroLab is only $20 and requires no pre-registration. AcroLab is run by Henry Wheaton and a different guest teacher every week. Guest teachers specialties include Partner Acrobatics, Flexibility, Handbalancing, Tumbling, and even Rhythmic Gymnastics. AcroLab is intended to be an all-level event. With that said, participants should be healthy and injury-free enough to participate in vigorous activities without endangering themselves or others. Every day at AcroLab we have circus professionals, as well as people who have never done a day of circus in their lives. We welcome everyone.

We start every day with acro lines, which are progressive drills designed to warm up, condition, and teach basic acro principles. After lines, we break up into two groups. Newer AcroLab participants can join Henry for a more introductory acro class, while experienced students join the guest teacher for more advanced, faster-paced skill-building. After 45-60 minutes, the two groups integrate and have about a half an hour of unstructured time for participants to pursue activities in which they're interested, guided and overseen me Henry and the Guest Teacher. After free time we have ten minutes of super-fun, vigorous conditioning, and finish the class with 30 minutes of guided stretching.

Please arrive ready to enjoy three hours of physical activity. Comfortable, close-fitting clothes are recommended. For safety reasons, we take off rings and loose, dangly jewelry, such as necklaces, bracelets or earrings. It's not a bad idea to bring a snack and a bottle of water. Please make sure to tell an instructor if you have an injury or any health or personal issues of which we should be aware. Arrive promptly by 1:00 so you can settle in and get your body warmed up for lines, which start right at 1:10. If you're coming for the first time and aren't already a SHOW student, please try to arrive ten minutes early so we can get you signed in and wavered.

All classes at SHOW focus on vocabulary retention, interpersonal life skills, and having fun in a safe environment.
