Description: See our facebook page for the most up to date AcroLab events with guest instructors!

Acro Balance, Sports Acro, Partnering Drills, Tumbling, Hand Balancing, Contortion, Pyramids, and more! Safety. That's the first and most important element of our collaboration. While AcroLab is a fun place to come play, we would like to emphasize that it is a supervised and safe environment. AcroLab is $15 and requires no pre-registration. AcroLab is run by Henry Wheaton and a different guest teacher every week. Guest teachers’ specialties include Partner Acrobatics, Flexibility, Handbalancing, Tumbling, and occasional other disciplines. AcroLab is intended to be an all-level event. With that said, participants should be healthy and injury-free enough to participate in vigorous activities without endangering themselves or others. Every day AcroLab hosts experienced acrobats, as well as people who have never done a day of circus in their lives. We welcome everyone ages 16+.

We start every day with acro lines, which are progressive drills designed to warm up, condition, and teach basic acro principles. After lines, we have our workshop time, run by the guest instructor and Henry. After the workshop, we have ten minutes of fun, vigorous conditioning, and then finish the two hour class with guided flexibility work. Starting in the Fall of 2018 there will be a third hour, open to experienced acrobats (participation in 8 or more AcroLabs or special permission from Henry), which will be self-guided time. There will be a sign-up for safety lines and / or coaching time with Henry. The optional, 3rd hour will be $5.

Please arrive ready to enjoy two hours of physical activity. Comfortable, close-fitting clothes are recommended. For safety reasons, we take off rings and loose, dangly jewelry, such as necklaces, bracelets or earrings. It's not a bad idea to bring a snack and a bottle of water. Please make sure to tell an instructor if you have an injury or any health or personal issues of which we should be aware. Please arrive promptly by
1:00 so you can settle in and get your body warmed up for class, which starts right at 1:10. If you're coming for the first time and aren't already a SHOW student, please try to arrive ten minutes early so we can get you signed in and waivered. We look forward to having you join our acro community!

A perfect class to pair with other circus classes!
