Requirements: Cube is an adult class and is open to anyone who has completed a SHOW class of 201 level or higher.
Description: The Ground Cube is a free-standing, steel, six sided, rectangle (not actually a cube). It stands eight feet tall and has four Chinese poles as its legs.
Ground Cube gives us the opportunity to apply skills in multiple different circus arts. We will spend most of our time learning Chinese pole, but we will also play around with performing trapeze on the cross bars and we will use the Cube to facilitate partner acrobatics.
For people looking to learn something new and exciting, circus is a non-competitive, artistic, fun and safe discipline. All classes at SHOW focus on vocabulary retention, interpersonal life skills, and having fun in a safe environment. Any cancellation made by the student before the first day of class will be given a 100% refund. Any cancellations made by the student after the first class of the session has run is not eligible for a refund (special exceptions may be made for medical situations). If a single class is canceled by the studio (due to weather, staff availability, etc.), the cost of that class will be credited to your P13 account based on the single per class rate. Adult students who miss 1-2 classes during the session may attend 1-2 Open Studios free of charge, per session, to make up for the missed classes, as space allows. Students making up missed classes using Open Studio must register through the office.
Please note—if you miss a class due to COVID-related reasons, the cost of that class will be credited to your P13 account based on the single per class rate. As a result absences due to COVID will not be eligible for free Open Studio make-ups, but you may use your account credit to pay for Open Studios.
In the event that only one student is present for any given class, the class will automatically be changed to 1 hour in duration.
